Rini Price’s statement about The Angries paintings:
Working in acrylic, I used to keep small canvas boards on hand — to use up left-over paint at the end of the day . . . to just mess about with. One day in the early 1990s Hello I LoveYou showed up out of nowhere. It became the first of 27 paintings in The Angries series. They just fell out of me over two and a half or three months one after another. I figured they’d let me know when it was done — and they did.
